My shop name, flyingace, is an ode to my favorite comic strip character of all time, Snoopy as the World War 1 flying ace in search of the Red Baron." Major shop categories include: Home Accessories, Vintage Books and For Kids.

VIntage Federal Rumpus Shot Glasses

KitschyVintage offers a nice mix of vintage items ranging from the 1920's through the 1960's. "After having a career and then being a stay-at-home mom to my 3 sons (now grown), I've finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up: collect, use and sell great old stuff! The items in my shop are as unpredictable as the imaginings of days past." Top categories include: Jewelry and Accessories and Games and Toys. KitschyVintage opened shop in October 2010.

Antique Filigree Pin Fancy Design circa 1900
VanityFare is a wonderful jewelry shop, offering vintage and antique jewelry representing a wide range of styles and eras. "I've been selling antique jewelry for over 20 years. I've also developed a good sound working knowledge of textiles, linens, ladies accessories and vintage clothing. I've sold antiques from the Georgian Period right up to the late 20th c. up and down the east coast." VanityFare is based out of Barrington, New Hampshire and opened in January of 2008.

Vintage Bead Goodies in White
TheWhiteRoom, based out of Ontario, Canada, has a lovely selection of vintage rhinestone jewelry, postcards, and ephemera. "I love and appreciate beautiful things that hold a story from the past. Vintage Ford Truck Guide F 150 (1979)
EmeliasCupboard currently has an interesting selection of books on offer including a few unique operating and instruction manuals. "I will be using this shop to clear out my vast collections of almost 50 years hunting. I have been involved in buying and selling antiques and collectibles for most of my life, and far too much of it went into our private collections, even long after we ran out of space for it. Now that retirement is approaching, it is time to get serious about clearing out." EmeliasCupboard is based out of Spring Branch Texas (Winter) and opened in May of 2011.

I'm passionate about working with older adults and the stuff they call junk. I started Back Home Again many years ago as a way to channel my creative energy and stay connected to my roots. I was born and raised in Indiana where I learned to sew sitting at my grandma's feet. I've collected vintage items for years and am especially proud of my Russel Wright collection."

Welcome New Member: Victorian Sentiments

Among the wealth of jewelry expertise on the Etsy Vintage Team, Terry and Tom of Victorian Sentiments are specialists in rare Civil War and Victorian adornments. They have been students, researchers and teachers in the subject for years. If terms like vulcanite, celluloid and bog oak are a mystery to you, a visit to their shop is fascinating!

From the description: Mid-Victorian era hair brooch, with 3 different types of hair arranged in the "Prince of Wales" curl, which was popular in the 1840s and 50s. It was very popular for brooches to contain hair from more than one family member, and these often contained the hair of children and were presented to mothers, or were of family members and then presented to a daughter as she left home.

We are honored to include Victorian Sentiments in the Etsy Vintage Team. Welcome!

There's Nothing Like a Trifari

By Kim - CranberryManor

Trifari Jewelry has always been a name synonymous with creativity, quality, and glamour. Even the jewelry made in modern times is of quality and style, and collectible in its own right.

The company can trace its beginnings back to 1910 when Italian immigrant, Gustavo Trifari, and his uncle began producing jewelry under the name Trifari & Trifari. Gustavo, 2 years later, decided to branch out on his own under the brand name Trifari. Continuing to produce high quality, costume jewelry, that rivaled the real thing, Gustavo met his partner & sales manager, Leo Krussman in 1917. Trifari & Krussman was later formed in 1918. When top salesman Carl Fishel joined the company in 1923, the name changed again to Trifari, Krussman, and Fishel, and the trademark "KTF" was born (the T in the middle is larger than the other 2 letters, denoting the senior partner, Trifari).

The 1930s & 1940s was the grand age of costume jewelry for many design houses, Trifari included. This was the time that Alfred Phillipe joined the company as head designer, producing some of the most outstanding jewelry the company has seen. Very, very collectible, Phillipe designs are elegant, glamourous, and timeless.

Some of the company's most popular, and most collected, designers, outside of Alfred Phillipe, include Jean Paris, Andre Boeut, and Diane Love. Pieces by these designers still command some of the highest prices Trifari jewelry can bring.

Even old magazine and fashion advertisements form a very popular collecting genre of Trifari Jewelry. For a wonderful selection of old Trifari ads, please visit Morning Glory's Trifari Ad Page.

Trifari Jewelry is marked, most commonly with what is referred to as the "Crown T" mark. Hallmarks w/a © indicate a production date of post-1955. For an extensive description of Trifari marks, please see Illusion Jewels Trifari Section.

Trifari became part of the Monet group in the 90s, and is today owned by Liz Claiborne and in off shore production.

My personal collection includes a wonderful array of Trifari figurals, and my quest is to acquire each piece in the specific lines, from the pearlescent Fantasia Collection to the oh so cute Pets Collection.

The Etsy Vintage Team offers a wonderful collection of Trifari Jewels - please click here.
