Welcome New Members: Design Archives, Kowgirl Kitsch and Sweet Pearl Vintage

Design Archives is a fascinating evolution from fashion research resource to brick-and-mortar consignment to--thankfully for us!--an Etsy shop featuring vintage clothing and accessories, textiles and patterns, ephemera and more. Just look at this extraordinary Geoffrey Beene sheath dress and coat set. To die for!

Kowgirl Kitsch is the shared passion of Vicki and Pam from Arizona. Here you'll find old west/primitive wares, vintage fashion, kitschy collectibles and mid century decor. A perfect example is this killer starburst wall clock complete with zodiac signs!

Sweet Pearl Vintage hails from "the Coast of Maine," which sounds (to a Midwesterner) like a very romantic place. This Etsy Vintage shop offers a delightful variety of pottery and home decor, china and kitchenware, and beautiful antique artwork including this 1935 Gordon Hope Grant lithograph.

These shops represent the diversity of fare offered by Etsy Vintage Team members, and we're so pleased to have them join us. Welcome!

FOODIE FRIDAY -- H is also for HONEY

Ah, honey. So sweet. So pure. Quite amazing, really. It takes on different flavors and coloration depending on the locale and flower from which it is derived. It is revered the world over for its health benefits, and has been used as everything from a poultice to a sweetener for thousands of years.

Cool link for interesting HONEY factoids and trivia:

Some additional information AND a host of recipes using HONEY:

I found a few cool HONEY and BEE related items in our member's Etsy shops:

HONEY JAR from Moon Over Marilyn

RING from Haute Country Vintage

COAT TRIM from Design Archives

Hope your NEW year is as sweet and rich as, well... HONEY!
