I also wanted to share this,it is "What is Art Glass" of the net.
"Art glass primarily refers to glass works of a more decorative than functional intent that are created by individual glass artists and/or their few assistants using small-scale furnaces in glass studios. While contemporary art glass is notable for the hand wrought aspect and individual creativity, vintage art glass, that made prior to the 1960s, can include factory-made glass artistry, produced by small teams of factory workers."

I've kept pretty glass in my windowsills for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite ways to cheer up a room :)

Thanks for adding the info, Jul Ann. Of course, this post celebrates a more functional type of vintage glass. The link to vintage art glass on Etsy is for those who prefer that style :)

I couldn't agree more...I have a collection of antique glass inkwells in my kitchen window and they are gorgeous when the morning sunlight streams through the window. Thanks so much for featuring my bottles!

Love the collection, I've become more and more obsessed with antique apothecary bottles over the past several months. The unique iridescence that they each have makes for a stunning display! Love the article, and thanks so much for including our bottles!

So pretty! This reminds me of Grandma Lu's place. She always had the windows filled with colored glass.

Love the use of glass in a window it is just beautiful. Reminds me of a time I was in West Virginia small town and we saw an antique shop(so we thought), the upstais windows were full of beautiful glass and I thought - this place would be full of great items. When we got into the store low and behold it was a bait shop! When I aksed about the store upstairs she said that was her apartment and not a shop! Such a beautiful display she had :)

The Etsy Vintage Team has such a great collection a person could achive that look in one shopping trip! :)
