Walking in a Vintage Wonderland Day 26: 11Karri!

Welcome to 'Walking in a Vintage Wonderland', the EtsyVintage Street Team's exciting holiday event where each day, we're showcasing one of over 30 great vintage shops, and each day, one lucky winner will win a $10 gift certificate from the featured shop! For more details, see this post:
I'm one of those people who love vintage gadgets, tools and mechanical things; even a trip to a modern-day hardware store will keep me happily occupied for hours. I also love vintage buttons--a lot, and today's featured shop, '11Karri' is a real treat to write about. 11Karri has a little of everything: kitchenware, household and office items, toys and oddities, as well as a great selection of vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry. And buttons.
One of my favorite things from the 11Karri shop is above: an old 'Protectograph' check writing machine, in great shape. 11Karri has so many neat gadgets that I made a collage of them below, just to give you an idea of the many cool things you can find there. Pictured are a very cool 'Handy Hannah" hair dryer; vintage clocks in Bakelite, wood and plastic; a Rival 'Juice-o-Mat' juicer; atomic style bullet-shaped ice cream maker; a 1950s Sawyer Viewmaster and a great early 20th century Brownie camera by Kodak.

11Karri also carries a wide variety of vintage clothing and jewelry! Here are just a few examples: A beautifully tailored 3-piece wool suit by Gaynes; a great Shagmoor coat with a mink collar, a light grey checked polyester jacket, pretty plastic leaf earrings, Sarah Coventry brooch with glass 'stones' and an unusual artisan-made ceramic elephant brooch and earrings set.

Next is just a few of 11Karri's vintage buttons.

So if you like what you see so far, go on over to the 11Karri shop, check out all of the great vintage things there and then come back to this post and leave a comment with a link to your favorite item, along with your e-mail address. Tonight, one winner will be chosen at random from all of the entries who will win a $10 gift certificate from 11Karri! Don't forget to include your e-mail address so we can contact you if you win. A list of participating shops is at right.
One winner per day, per person, and EVST members are not eligible to enter.
Good Luck, and Happy Shopping!

Entering Karri's shop is like a blast to the past that takes you back to Grandma's house and beyond. All of the best vintage for gals and guys hang from the rafters and sit on the shelves of this shop.

If you can't find a place to spend your free ten bucks here, I don't think you'll find it anywhere.

Good luck! and don't forget to leave us an email where we can reach you if you are our winner of the day!

As I was looking throug her store I saw things I use to have growing up or that my parents had and we played with. The pencil sharpener we had one just like that. The 50's view master. It brought a smile to my face. I just love several things in her shop. I was looking at old buttons that would be great for my jewelry. As well as the martini mixer. What a great shop you have.
