Today's featured shop is Ikonic, a great little shop with the tagline "Fashion Passes, Style Remains..." and shop owner Justine proves this with her wonderful collection of vintage clothing, accessories, housewares, vintage patterns and children's items. We will focus today on the 1960s & 70s, a time that brought us Carnaby Street, Twiggy, Mod/Pop, Boho and psychedelia, bright colors, wild patterns, textures and fun; when Emilio Pucci and Peter Max were style gods.
First off is a fabulous wet-look vinyl trench coat from Fleet Street, with a crackle texture, big shiny buttons and buckle, and lots of attitude. Next, an assortment of 70s fashion staples in red: a scarf hat in a great hippie folk print, a sweater vest (you must have at least one of these in every color!), flowy print gypsy skirt, a big canvas shoulder bag, and purely for fun, a plastic Mickey Mouse change purse. Here, Ikonic brings you even more color and texture in this beautiful slinky print Maxi dress, 2 wool sweater vests, a Southwest-themed slouchy bag and a cute patchwork quilted market tote, just as practical and stylish now as it was then:
If the hippie/Boho look is not your style, Ikonic has lots of choices for you too in fashion from all eras, like this elegant green 2-piece shell and jacket emsemble, beautiful grey wool jacket with satin trim, black and brown tweed jacket and great woven wicker and leather bag-Enjoy!
