This is a lovely set of vintage salt and pepper shakers, consisting of a silver plate, pierced metal casing with a cobalt blue depression glass lining. Similar sets date to the 1930s or 1940s, but these are unmarked and I'm not positive of the age. They are larger than most shakers of this type and have a delicate floral pattern.
The set is in fair to good vintage condition. There are some cracks in the metal (in both the casings and the lids--see pictures), although the metal shines up nicely and the cracks do not detract from either the beauty or the usability of these shakers. These would look lovely on a shelf or at the table.
The shakers are a little more than 3 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches in diameter (9 x 3.8 cm).
