FOODIE FRIDAY -- H is also for HONEY

Ah, honey. So sweet. So pure. Quite amazing, really. It takes on different flavors and coloration depending on the locale and flower from which it is derived. It is revered the world over for its health benefits, and has been used as everything from a poultice to a sweetener for thousands of years.

daily dose: moms

kitschy for sure. that is what mothers day is all about. as a child anyway...you know those gifts you gave her and she smiled and loved them and they still sit on the what not shelf and now you are like 'uh, mom, i found that outside the grocery store and you were watching me pick it up and then i thought since you said it was pretty it would make a great mothers day gift, and you kept it all these years?'

this mug is kitschy and quite delightful, really. i love it. thanks sweetrice!

Fab nautical inspired vintage glass pitcher from sweetrice. This is one dynamite gift for the sailing enthusiast in your life.


Wonderful pitcher is a great example of vintage modern design. The picture has a hand shaped and applied handle with a shaped ice lip. It has a nautical theme of blue and reflective gold graphics that include images of ships, lanterns, flags, helm, and life rings.

The pitcher measures 5-1/5 inches across, 8-1/2 inches with the handle. It is 6-3/4 inches tall. It holds 2 quarts.

Fabulous kitschy 1950's BBQ themed serving tray from sweetrice is a must have for your next backyard shindig!


This great dish has a 1950’s BBQ theme. Things that would be at a BBQ are on the dish. The colors are brown, yellow, and green with black outlines. The rectangular dish has a wooden handle with gold metal trim. The dish is in good vintage condition.

The dish measures 4 by 8 inches. The handle is 5 inches high.

Oh when I saw these I just about squealed! I just love to play cards. I'm more of a poker than a bridge player, but no matter cause whatever game you play these vintage cookie cutters from SweetRice are a winner.
