Fresh Picks: Delicious Decor

Decorating with vintage fruit motifs is a terrific way to bring bold color to a bland kitchen. Midcentury fruit designs abound in vintage linens, housewares and pottery/porcelain, making it a fun and easy project. Repurposing tip: If you’re stuck with an obtrusive soffit over your kitchen cabinets, hang a row of vintage plates and change them with the seasons.

AnnLloydAntiques offers an eclectic mix of vintage and antiques. This West Michigan based couple opened their Etsy shop in November of 2008 but have been "antique dealers and partners in the 'art of collecting' for quite awhile now." Both feel "very fortunate to have a life partner who also loves antiques." Their items range from a large Louis XV Parlor sofa to two small carved bone rings. JessicaVintage is home to vintage photographs and ephemera including a nice selection of photo booth shots. Jessica "loves vintage and antique ephemera, paper and sewing stuff like buttons and ribbon." She is based in Oregon and started her shop in December of 2008. FineVintageLinen is aptly named as this shop offers up a wonderful selection of vintage linens and quilts. This Etsy shop was opened in October of 2008 but as Yvonne says in her profile "it all began innocently enough... many years ago, I decided to scale back an abundant collection of vintage pillowcases and listed them on an internet auction site. It was such fun finding the right home for the right textile that I quit my job..." (Pictured: Pair Unused Cannon Kitchen Towels w/Tag)
